Written Assessment

English

• Writing: Recognize and write "grass" , "sky", and "root" letters.
  
• Blending: CVC words (e.g., cat, sit). Rule of "magic e" (e.g., make, ride) and vowel teams (e.g., ay, ee). Sound blending exercises with 5 letter words. Practice beginning and ending blends (bl, cr, st, ck, ll). Learn common digraphs: ch, sh, th, ay etc.
  
• Basic Grammar: Pronouns: he, she, it, they, you. Helping Verbs: is, am, are. Use of "this" and "that" in sentences.
  
• Reading comprehension: Read simple sentences using blends, digraphs, and grammar elements. Dictation: random 4- to 5-letter words.
  
• Listening: will be assessed by 30-50 per minute. Understand at least a 10-minute video in U.S English accent.
  
• Speaking: (20-40 words per minute) Speak and describe pictures in their own words. Be able to answer in complete sentences.
  
• Tricky words: Basic tricky words (more, come etc).
  
• Reading fluency rate: 10-20 words per minute.
  

Mathematics

• Counting: Forward and backward counting (0-100), what comes after, before & between (0-100), dodging numbers (0-100), compare the numbers till 99 (>, < or =), counting in words till 10.
  
• Addition: Addition up to 20 and word problems (verbal), missing addends up to 10.
  
• Subtraction: Subtraction (single digit) up to 10, days of the week (oral), names of the month (oral).
  
• Measuring: Measuring length of objects using measuring tape in inches and heights of objects.

Oral Assessment

• Following Directions – Listening and comprehension skills through guided activities.
  
• Introduction to Planting and Basic Plant Parts – Understanding about seeds, soil, and the names/functions of plant parts (root, stem, leaf, flower)
  
• Detailed Greetings and Personal Information – Introduction using full sentences for greetings, name, age, class, etc.
  
• Good Touch and Bad Touch– Understanding personal safety through age-appropriate, respectful conversations.
  
• Personal Cleanliness and Hygiene – Understanding and practicing daily hygiene routines.
  
• Living and Non-Living Things – Differentiating between things that grow and move versus those that do not .
