English

• Writing: Creative writing skills (word limit 30-40): describe a picture and write on a variety of familiar topics (e.g., my best friend, my school, my house). Dictation: 5-8 letter words and compound words.
  
• Blending: CVC words (e.g., cat, sit). Rule of "magic e" (e.g., make, ride) and vowel teams (e.g., ay, ee). Sound blending exercises with 5 letter words. Practice beginning and ending blends (bl, cr, st, ck, ll). Learn common digraphs: ch, sh, th, ay etc.
  
• Grammar concepts: Noun(e.g. dog, school), pronoun (e.g. he, she, it, I, we, they, you),verbs(e.g. eat, read), prepositions (e.g. in, on), articles(e.g. a, an), punctuation(full stops, question marks, capitalization). Use of is/am/are, was/were, has/have. Singular/Plural(adding s/es).
  
• Reading comprehension: Read and comprehend an unseen passage by answering questions in 3-5 words or in MCQ's.
  
• Listening: Watching short story or cartoons and answer simple questions or talk about what happened. Understand at least a 15-minute video in U.S English accent.
  
• Reading fluency rate: Reading fluency will be assessed at 20-30 words per minute.
  
• Speaking fluency (40-60 words per minute) : Speaking will be assessed through interviews, introduce yourself and picture description etc.
  

Mathematics

• Add/Sub: Read and write counting till 200 including forward & backward; Compare the numbers (<, > or =); Ordering (ascending/descending) of numbers; Skip counting, 2 digit addition & subtraction, Even & odd numbers, Missing Numbers.
  
• Place Value: Counting in words till 150, Place value of tens and ones.
  
• Time: Reading of Clock; Whole & half past, A.M P.M, Drawing of hands (hours and minutes), Number of days in different months.
  
• Shapes: Identification of 2-D shapes(triangle, rectangles, square, circle, oval ,hexagon and pentagon) with number of sides and corners.
  
• Measuring: Assessment of size, length, thickness, height, capacity, weight etc. (or any other suitable parameter) of an object; apply descriptors such as bigger-smaller, longer-shorter, thicker-thinner, higher-lower, more-less, heavier-lighter etc
  
• Word Problems: Including simple add/sub
