One of the Founders of Drakken School
Mrs. Ikhtiar Saleem,One of the founders of Drakken, was a highly experienced educationist. She completed her Master’s in Economics from Lahore College University. Her meritorious services at several institutions — including College for Women Sangla Hill, College for Women Lahore, Islamia College Lahore, Govt. Girls College Shadman, and Apwa College Lahore — reflect her vast teaching and administrative experience. She retired in Grade 20 in 2016.
Together with her son, Mr. Omer Saleem, she envisioned Drakken as a school unlike any other — one that would deliver not only academic excellence but also deep-rooted values, ethical discipline, and holistic personality grooming.
As the founding principal, she laid a strong foundation built on discipline, dedication, and a deep compassion for students. Under her visionary leadership, Drakken quickly rose to prominence and became the choice of parents seeking excellence in education.
Mrs. Ikhtiar bravely battled cancer but passed away on 3 September 2022. Her legacy as a passionate educator and inspiring leader lives on in the halls of Drakken and in the hearts of all those who knew her.
