Academic Progress

Academic tracking in Grades 6 to 8 becomes more formalized to prepare students for O-levels. We use a mix of formative and summative assessment techniques:

  • Student Performance Reports (SPR): Weekly reports provide feedback on quizzes and CTs (excluding Early Years), reinforcing a continuous assessment model instead of traditional final exams.
  • Types of Assessments: Weekly quizzes, class tests (CTs), and grand tests (GTs) are used for evaluation. GTs are centrally managed and cannot be retaken, while CTs and quizzes may be repeated with approval.
  • Progression Criteria: Students must maintain a minimum average of 70% across all three terms to progress to the next grade level.
  • Term-Based Evaluation: Drakken follows a three-term system with no separate final exams. Each term contributes equally to the final result, emphasizing consistent performance over time.
