Assessments & Progress
In the Elementary Section, assessment is an ongoing process that supports students' development. We use a variety of methods to track progress and ensure that every child is learning at their own pace:
- Term-Based Evaluation: Drakken follows a three-term system with no separate final exams. Each term contributes equally to the final result, emphasizing consistent performance over time.
- Progression Criteria: Students must maintain a minimum average of 60% across all three terms to progress to the next grade level.
- Types of Assessments: Weekly quizzes, class tests (CTs), and grand tests (GTs) are used for evaluation. GTs are centrally managed and cannot be retaken, while CTs and quizzes may be repeated with approval.
- Student Performance Reports (SPR): Weekly reports provide feedback on quizzes and CTs (excluding Early Years), reinforcing a continuous assessment model instead of traditional final exams.
