Drakken Academic Overview

Curriculum & Structure
Drakken follows the Cambridge Curriculum with the following academic structure:
- Early Years (EY1–EY3): Reception to KG2
- Elementary (E1–E3): Grades 1 to 3
- Juniors (J1–J3): Grades 4 to 6
- Preparatory (P1–P2): Grades 7 and 8
- O Levels (O1–O2): Grades 9 and 10
- Matriculation (M1–M2): Grades 9 and 10 (phasing out by 2027)
O Level students follow a curriculum with 8 subjects. A Levels allow specialization in Biology or Mathematics, with Chemistry and Physics required.
Assessment & Reporting
- Weekly Class Tests (CTs) – by section heads
- Quizzes – conducted by subject teachers
- Grand/Term Tests (GTs/TTs) – approved by senior management
Progress is reported through:
- Weekly Student Performance Reports (SPR)
- Term Academic Marksheets (TAM)
- Yearly Academic Marksheet (YAM)
Promotion Criteria
- Grades 1–6: Minimum 60% average
- Grades 7 and above: Minimum 70% average
- Principal’s Decision: Final authority on promotion/retention
Support Program (MTSS)
- Mandatory 30-minute after-school help sessions
- Enrollment based on performance & Principal’s approval
- Parents are responsible for transportation
