Thank you for your interest in applying as a teacher at "The Drakken School". Interviews are scheduled all year long as we are constantly looking for excellent teachers to become part of our team. Apply only after you have read all details below. Moreover if selected for an interview and demonstration please make sure you are on time and do not miss out. Missing out will automatically result in you not getting an opportunity again.
Why become a teacher at Drakken ?
1. Timings : The school will not ask you to arrive early or to leave late as a matter of policy. However, you will ensure that all your work is complete. Your work is your responsibility.
2. Weekends : Apart from the last saturday of the month, all saturdays and sundays are off. However, in case of trainings or extra work - some Saturdays might be considered working.
3. Salary Structure : The school pays as per performance and increments are offered twice a year. Salary structure is comparable to good institutions in Pakistan.
4. Transport : The school does not provide transport.
5. Education : Free education for two of your kids who study at the school. The third child onward will be charged 50% fee.
6. Degree : While degrees are important, we place emphasis on your command over the subject and your ability to convey the concept to the class sitting in front of you. So even if you have done just O levels but you think you have what it takes to be a good teacher - DO APPLY
7. Accomodation : We provide free shared accommodation facility to our staff members. Male and female staff have separate accommodation. Proper messing is also available for staff members.
Before applying further there are few points that you should consider.
- Location : The school is located at 35 Km Ferozpur road. DO NOT APPLY if you are located far from the school or if you cannot travel the distance.
- Love for Teaching : Apply ONLY if you want to pursue teaching as your profession and connect with children. What is so amazing about education as a profession is that you impact people who go out and impact people. Teachers will never get the recognition they deserve because their impact can be infinite. DO NOT APPLY if you have become a teacher just because there was no other option left. Our rigourous training and probabtion period will weed you out if you lack the passion and determination expected from a teacher.
- Communication : Apply only if you can communicate and teach in English.
- Gender : Both male and female staff can apply.
- Management : If you aspire a role in management please note that the school has a policy of promoting from within. Management professionals are chosen from the exisiting teaching staff. Moreover all management personnel are required to teach part time on a regular basis - after all, we are a school and teaching always comes first.
